Tripti Shakya is a versatile playback singer, singing for 25 years. She was born in Etwah(UP) and brought up in Allahabad(UP). Tripti commands in seven languages- Hindi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Rajasthani, Punjabi, Sanskrit and Nepali. At the tender age of 18 years, her first audio was released and since then she has been achieving laurels in the world of music.

Tripti was awarded the "Mohammad Rafi Award in 1994", the Sangeet Shikhar Samman in 2002, the Internation Bhojpuri Ratna Award in 2001, the Prayag Gaurav Award in 2002, and the Vocational Award in 2002
